It doesn’t affect the new consoles that much unless you like to hook it up to one of those snazzy gaming monitors. But this is excellent news for those of you who use the 1440p gaming monitors that are pretty popular. So, if you want to take full advantage of the powerful new systems and the ability to make full use of your 4K TV (if you have one), you will have to wait a little bit longer.

1440p is only marginally better than the full 1080p HD that we already have and isn’t the full 4K resolution that other games are known for. This is pretty good news, but it is a half-step for sure, especially for those of you who are excited for the next generation of video games. All that is changing is that there is a significant performance boost for all three consoles to allow for the battle royale game to run nicely at 1440p in resolution. There is one main change that you will find with Apex Legends on the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. So, if you are lucky enough to get a new shiny system, you won’t find too many changes for now. It is very little that will change with the new platforms at launch. However, what players should keep in mind is that the Apex Legends next-gen upgrades are not much at all. It looks like there will be some upgrades at the launch of the new consoles, despite this short notice. With those systems just about to release in just about a week or less for both of them, it is high time that we find out some more info about the Apex Legends next-gen upgrades. We have been waiting for this for some time since it is the only major first-person shooter battle royale game left in the genre that hasn’t given us an idea of how it will work on the upcoming PS5, Xbox Series X, and S consoles.

Among the myriad of existing online games that EA went over today in its announcements for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the Apex Legends next-gen upgrades were finally revealed for the new consoles and the game’s recently released Season 7.
